When I think about the person I am today, so much of that is thanks to my mentor and high school basketball coach, Martin Smallhorne. He was more than a coach—he taught me how to approach life with discipline, resilience, and integrity. On and off the court, Martin led by example, instilling values like hard work, respect, and humility. He prepared me not just for the game, but for life, showing me that challenges are opportunities and that true success comes from character and effort. I’m incredibly grateful—Coach believed in me before I believed in myself, and his impact still guides me today.
